Our Story

Our story began 3000 miles apart on different sides of the world.

After growing up surrounded by bright green fields, rolling hills & quintessential English village cottages Miriam left behind everything she’d known to follow an insatiable desire to experience more of the world on the other side of the Atlantic.

Stephen grew up in Moncton, and after leaving for college, visited BC and never came back! Days out West were filled with awe inspiring landscapes, fresh seasonal tastes, and the call of adventure, but the quiet whisper of unfulfilled dreams was never far away for both of us.

The day we met felt like it was always meant to be. Like meeting an old friend with their familiar gestures and comforting presence.

Love was in the air that September day as the sun peeked out from behind the clouds and we exchanged rings beside the reflective blue and green lake.

Our wedding celebration was planned for the following year.....little did we know that one year would become six.

As we celebrate our wedding on 1st September 2024 it will be our 6th anniversary of being legally married.

Got Questions? We have Answers!

Is There a Dress Code?

We can’t wait to celebrate “Bridgeton” style with our favourite people. Guests are encouraged to dress in “Bridgeton ” style outfits with a British flare.

Do you have a Gift Registry?

Sharing our day with you means more to us than any present, but if you would like to honour us with a gift, a contribution towards our honeymoon would be very much appreciated.

As you know, we rarely have time to go on vacation and so we are planning a trip in early 2025 to get away, relax and have some fun!

Can I Take Photos During The Ceremony?

We invite you to be truly present with us during our ceremony and so we have chosen to have an unplugged ceremony. We kindly ask that phones and cameras remain out of sight until the ceremony conclusion!

We’ve hired a fabulous photographer and will be sharing all the photos of the ceremony.

You are welcome to take photos at any other time during the day.

Can I Stay at The Manor?

The Manor is fully booked during our wedding weekend, but there are other local accommodation options:

Maplehurst Manor: https://maplehurstmanor.com/

Ballast Lodge: https://ballastlodge.ca/

Beds at Blooms: https://www.airbnb.ca/rooms/26368479?
